Administrative Volunteers

Mission Central

Do you have unique skills or talents that you would like to share? Let us know! There are always special projects that need special people to make them happen. When you fill out your Volunteer Profile, we may have a great administrative volunteer match for you!

Cleaning Crew

Mission Central's Administrative Offices

We need volunteers to help keep our meetings rooms and food pantry clean and ready for guests! This includes sweeping/mopping floors, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms/kitchen. Hours are flexible, and include Mondays from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Tuesdays - Fridays from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Village Food Pantry

Drivers pick up food and pantry donations from various grocery stores and deliver them to Mission Central. It is best if our volunteers in this area have a truck or large capacity vehicle to carry the donated items. Volunteers without a vehicle are teamed up with those who do. All drivers should be able to lift 20 - 40 pounds. Drivers are needed Monday - Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Food Drive Host

Village Food Pantry

If your schedule won't allow you to volunteer on a regular basis, consider hosting a food drive! We'll be happy to offer ideas and help you prepare materials. A food drive can be as small as asking people to bring canned goods to a birthday party to as large as coordinating a neighborhood-wide drive.

Village Garden

Our Village Garden grows fresh, organic produce for our guests at the Village Food Pantry. The Village Garden team works together to maintain the garden. Hours are flexible.

No pre-registration is required - just show up on the day of the event. First United Methodist Church of Hurst is located at 521 West Pipeline Road in Hurst.
